Remi - Happy Tails

Poor Remi was just a scared little 3-month-old puppy when she was unceremoniously dumped on a farm in rural Texas. Thank goodness the farmer recognized that this pup was a Rhodesian Ridgeback and reached out to Ridgeback Rescue of the U.S. (RRUS).

A RRUS volunteer drove to the farm, and welcomed this little giRRl into rescue. Her foster mom had her vetted and then gave her a soft place to land in a home filled with love and other dogs to play with until she found Remi the perfect forever home.

On July 23, 2019, Remi’s adopters made the trip to Houston, where they met the foster mom and Remington. (Yes, they already had a name picked out---don’t all parents talk about names prior to having a baby?) It was a match, and they drove home that afternoon proud parents of a new puppy.

Remington is now two; she has completed the Good Canine Citizen course, and is an excellent swimmer! Her adopters started out using a dog life vest but now she is comfortable in the water without it. Her preference, though, is just riding her float in the pool with her family.
